New And Improved East Greenwich Golf Club Boasts Pristine Greens and Revamped Clubhouse
The East Greenwich Golf Club (EGGC), formerly the East Greenwich Country Club, has a new and exciting look aimed at attracting both the novice and experienced golfer. The golf course is currently undergoing numerous improvements to the grounds. There have also been significant improvements made to the club's interior, including the addition of Links Tavern, a full-service tavern and restaurant.
The enhancements to the golf course include cleaning and enriching the ponds, improving greens and removing dead trees and bushes. Also, we are pleased to announce that EGGC will now be offering electric golf carts. In addition, the club is now an official member of the USGA and RIGA.
While we are quite pleased with the tremendous improvements being made to the course itself, the most noticeable difference can be seen inside our clubhouse. The interior is currently undergoing a drastic transformation, improving both the appearance and operation of the facility. Links Tavern, our full-service tavern and restaurant, will offer patrons a comfortable atmosphere for dining, complete with an extensive menu, big-screen televisions, couches, and patio seating.
"We are tremendously excited by the improvements that have been made thus far and look forward to a great season. Our hope is to create and maintain a golf club that the members can take pride in, as well as the entire town of East Greenwich," says General Manager Barry Levin.
East Greenwich Golf Club is now offering yearly interclub memberships as well as offering league play opportunities.
